List your pearls of wisdom for razor restoration!
Well, I'm very new to this so I only have one pearl so far...
Maybe the experienced guys already know this... but for the new restorer this may help... I was folding my sandpaper and sanding the tips of my fingers off... I built the sandpaper holder shown in the Wiki... still at times you need the feel of your finger... I needed something to add a little cushion and that would hold the sand paper... hence... double sided tape!! It holds the sandpaper and when the tip of the paper you are using gets used... just cut that part off and start with fresh sandpaper!! You can also take the sticky side off of the finger side and bend the sandpaper over your finger if you like!

I have one. Send it to Glen or Max or Philidelph or any of the other restorers here at SRP. Be sure and send a little gift appropriate for the person doing the restore above and beyond the regular price as these guys don't charge nearly enough for their services.
So ends the lesson.Last edited by JMS; 01-02-2010 at 06:27 PM.

If you think you know something, you don't.

As with any craft...
Be patient enough to do it right the first time, but be prepared to scrap it and start all over again.
That is all the advice I have right now as I'm still learning all this stuff.

If at first you don't succeed, you're like everyone else.
