Repairing a blade
I'm looking at a full hollow ground blade that has a crack from the edge to about half way to the spine. Can this be repaired by welding or soldering and sanding?

sorry to tell you but you may consider shortening the blade

There's no way you can repair that without destroying the temper. If you can't grind it away, the blade's a write off. Sorry.

Now I know you've been around long enough to know the answer to this question already. So I'm assuming this is one you really don't wanna loose and this thread is your last hope, hell mary, know better but gonna ask anyways, attempt to save it.
So, which SR is it so we can all mourn your loss appropriately?
