Thread: ebay dubl duck slight pitting can be sanded out?

I'm considering bidding for this razor. Is it still possible and/or advisable to sand out the remaining pits? Can I get a clean mirror finish? Thanks!

First I thought "Bradzilla must be getting lazy, posting such a dirty blade." Then I thought "It doesn't matter what it looks like, it's a GoldEdge and people are gonna throw in their whole wallet no matter what it looks like."

I would probably just use it as

If I had one like that... and I do .... I just leave them alone. A bit of Semichriome and call it good. As long as the pitting, or more like staining, is not in the bevel it is purely cosmetic. If cosmetic is your thing wait and find one that isn't stained. Pay a bit more but you don't have to deal with sanding/polishing a very very thin blade.

Tried to fix the link. Thanks for the advice, I'm new at ebay razor hunting and proceeding carefully. Hoping to get some clean vintages I like in the $100 or so range, and would like to try my hand at light restoring as well.

A: You could, yes. I would suggest hand-sanding, however, because it is a full hollow blade. Power tools + full hollow = common disaster

Nice looking razor - Doubt it'll stay at that price though.

This is already restored razor, as the description says. I am 99% sure it is sold by our member Undream. That brown mug is present in probably all his resto pics.
