I was recently in a situation that is near and (unfortuantely not) dear to the hearts of razor restorers - cracked celluloid scales. I tried all kinds of glues including CA - all with unsatisfactory results. I then created my own formulation for a celluloid glue, which is approximately 1 part fragmented celluloid bits to 2 parts pure acetone. Believe it or not it worked like a charm. I think I'm gonna call it: AcetoCellulotic Goop. If, that is, I invented it. If not, I'll call it whatever it's supposed to be called. Has anyone out there ever used this formulation or anything close to it?
