Thread: New set of carved scales

Here is a set of carved scales I finished today. They are black walnut.

Very cool! Was that the same set you showed us earlier? Came out very nice!

Nope, here is both sets. The first one was maple and had more leaves.

The next one is going to be something different like a snake or dragon or who knows.

Those look great. Did you ever figure out a workable method for using the dremel, or did you just stick with hand tools

Actually I did. I flattened the end of a nail and sharpened the edges like a tiny arrow head and it carves quite nicely.
