    Default Dovo Gold Wash Durability

    Hello:
Has anyone experienced the gold wash on a new Dovo coming off from being wiped with a cloth? Thank-you for reply.

I have a Dovo Special. No problem with gold wash coming off when wiped down to dry which I do often.

Don't use polishing componds on it though! Least not on the gold wash.

I have a feeling your talking about my Bismarck i posted well needless to say when u first get one dont wipe the tang very hard or the goldwash on it will come off( i think the fact that the word bismark on the tang is engraved so maybe it doesnt hold the gold as well) anyway the goldwash on the blade itself is pristine .
Also heres a review on it and some people do say not to rub the tang very hard either Dovo Bismarck - The Shave Den

Thanks for the link. So, one must be careful not to "wipe too hard" on the gold wash. Good to know. Maybe this thread will save someone's gold wash.
