Thanked: 1936Since it appears that you ride via your avitar, I'll cut you some slack...no pun intended!!
You mention blade damage, could you be more specific? Nicks & cracks in a blade are typically considered damage. Hone wear is just hone wear, though not desired, typical of well used razors...kind of like mileage on a auto, it's going to happen over time. How much hone wear is too much? That's one of those opinion things & we all have our set limits/opinions. I've kept mine around so that I may regrind it one of these days, but it's "just a razor" & not a heirloom.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

If you go back to the first post you can look at the first pic to see the artisan's "damage" after he/she/whoever tried sharpening it.
I assure you that before sending it in to have it ruined I examined my blade carefully. It was NOT damaged. Now, it IS! Look closely at the edge and you can see the "wave" that wasn't there before they touched it. I know, I tried honing it first. I couldn't get it there so I figured "Mr GreenJeans" may as well have someone else that knows what they're doing have at it the first time. Was I stupid!! It was who ever does them at CS that ruined it. If you want "details" we should do it PM.
And thanks for "cuttin me slack" BC I am a "biker".
