    Default Cutlers Rivets ?

Hey guys today while looking for some nickel-silver rods and washers(which I could not find at a reasonable price ) I came across these things called Cutler's Rivets Knife Making Supplies

are these available in the proper size for straights? i dont know the OD's of these but I assume they are much bigger than a rod, of course. does anybody know how to use these and is there any info in the wiki(could not find). I would like to try and use these on a razor I have coming in that needs to be rescaled. Im not scared to try (Ive been tearing razors apart since I got my first one) but just dont want to waste time messing with it if it wont work
    Thanks.

I have not come across any that were small enough to work as is... most would be either to big in diameter or too long.

the ones that are too long (assuming they are the correct diameter) could be cut a little shorter to fit right?

I don't see why not, but I still don't know if they would perform as well as regular pins.

The shaft diameter after the compression fit says it's 5/32. So....you'd have to ensure that the original hole in the tang of whatever razor you'd try them on was 5/32 or more. If not, you'd have to drill the hole large enough to fit.

Also, if you didn't countersink the heads, you'd have them above the surface of the scales which may or may not look great according to your preference.
