Gents,

I happen to own a nice entry-level drill press (Ryobi DP101) and figured I might use it with some buffing wheels and compounds to spruce up some razors. I found a great tool assortment: the Ryobi eight-piece mini buffing kit, available at Home Depot. Made in the USA, even. It comes with two white rouge compound sticks, one emery compound stick, one tripoli compound stick, one 2.25" cotton buffing wheel, one 3" cotton buffing wheel, one 4" cotton buffing wheel, and a 1/4" mandrel assembly. This kit can even be used on a hand-held drill. These wheels are rated to 4000 RPM, which is fine -- the drill press can go to more than 3000, so no worries. Should be fun!
