Spray on epoxy finish?

I was looking for some epoxy finish when I found thisKrylon 3201 Appliance Epoxy Ultra Hard Finish, White.

I like sprays. I like that it is cheap. But would it look good/work well? I wonder if they make a clear coat...

No for a razor handle. And they *do* make a clear. Clear epoxy spray on a wood razor handle.

I'm sure it would *work*... but I think you'd have a very hard time getting an even finish. Very orange peel prone, I imagine...

Eww...orange peel. Well that idea is out then. It is a shame that all the self-leveling epoxy comes in such large sizes. Guess that just leaves lots of good ol polyurethane.

orange peel can be sanded down but im not swapping out finish yet

I rescaled this "Tennis" with curly maple/bacote wedge. I used Krylon Clear Acrylic Gloss spray.

I think it's a possibility. If you are willing to spend a lot of time sanding and waiting on each new coat to dry. If it's not water based you can use fine steel wool between coats. If it's water based then very fine wet/dry sand paper. Spray-wait 24 hours-sand, then repeat as many times as it takes to create the depth and gloss you are after.

Who knows how it will turn out, it may be great and you will have started a new trend... If it doesnt work I suspect you will have a lot of trouble removing it though...

I've used Deft Laquer and Min-Wax Helmsman sprays on scales with success. I think the helmsman leaves a more rich look & is actually designed for outside exposure...
