Ern ATOR on the bench today
So I got back from Colorado yesterday and decided that I was going to work a razor for myself as I got the shop back up and running...
I snagged this one off e-bay before I left

Here are some more pics off the bench..
The first two show the staining on the blade faces, and the kinda odd angle in the original scales...
Never noticed that in other ATOR's I have had here...

Here are a few of the razor broken down, keep an eye at the spine, this razor is just not showing any hone wear on there...

The top ridge is a bit worse then the blade faces for corrosion as you can see here...

These are after polishing on the buffers and the new rough out scales, I am going to use... The acylic is called Pea**** and you can't see it yet but there is quite a bit of flash that is going to come out when I finish with the sanding & polishing on them...
I went to a satin gloss on the metal, pretty much excatly how they look in NOS condition... Of course there was no problem keeping all the edges and stamps sharp as there was no deep pitting present...

Finished up and going to the hones...
So the Wifey gave me the Pea**** Ornament to pose with the new razor :)
Although you can barely see if in the pic the scales are not just Amber and Black there are flashes on Green and Purple throughout also... All Nickel Silver and SS hardware and a Black acrylic wedge...
The scales are actually translucent you can see the razor in there when the light hits it...
This one is going to get a Charnley Forest final finish, that is my new CF in the background just under 8 inches long and 2 inches wide this will only be the 4th razor to go across this stone...So far I am pretty impressed with it... :D
