    Talking Mintyishy Boker

Ok, I'll be the first to admit I have no idea what qualifies as minty, but if it's got a mirror finish, any paint in the hollow is still good, and there are no cracks or pits and the scales work nice, with little to no sign of wear I'll call it minty, or cinnamony, or caviary.

Here we have a nice H Boker spike/squaretip razor that measures 9/16 pre honed. It was made for the wright and wilhelmy co in omaha nebraska with "XXX clean clipper special" painted in the hollow with an arrow going through it.

When I got it there was a bit of a smudge that looked like someone tried to shave with it and didn't clean it completely right above the cutting edge on each side in the same center spot. I carefully buffed it out by hand best I could, cleaned the dust out of the crevices and between the scales, buffed the other side of the blade by hand with maas and then honed it up, stropped it & shaved the F.I.L. as a tester since I just shaved this morning. and then wiped it down and took the pics. you can check the index of www.procis.net/Razors/boker if you want to browse larger pics.

It seemed to shave quite well. The F.I.L. says there was no pull and it was a very relaxing shaving experience. I'll give it a rest and try it myself on a sink shave day after tomorrow.

Grand total for this razor $4.50 plus very little elbow grease. the box is in really good condition too. The gold lettering is faded some but that's about it.
