Hi all,
I will be embarking on making my first set of scales soon (Seno Rosewood) and coating with Cyano (CA) glue.
Do any of you take any special precautions when working with either woods or CA glue?
I understand some woods can be toxic and being an ex Modeller know how the fumes from Cyano can give you a fair whack.

Where a mask when sanding/cutting.
Umm.. With CA i usually just wrap some tape around my finger and use that as the applicator. The rest is patience.

If you use cotton rags to apply it, the little bits you put aside after each application get VERY hot and may catch fire on their own. This is especially true if you with the thin CA.
Don't stand or lean over the uncured CA. I got a couple nice eyefulls of the fumes, and it is a fairly unpleasant experience.
You got that right, takes once and will remember it next time...
