Beautiful. Really nice work!
There we have it....a fantastic job. I rescind my "horn request", since the abalone looks spectacular.
Awesome.
nice work.
where did you buy the abalone from?
Very Nice work and excellent step by step instructions.
This is shows Job could be done with just simple tools.
Thank You.
+1 on the pinning it looks factory very fine job
Well done. I always like the step by step posts. Most people don't think they can build scales, but something like this shows you really don't need much. Hell my first few sets were with a hand saw, dremmel, and sand paper and they turned out great.
Just be careful with the power tools, you don't want to get the steel to hot and lose the temper.
LOVE it..
hopefully ill do abalone scales on a razor soon, i cant get over how much i love em!
The abalone is courtesy of Masecraft Masecraft USA: Acrylic Green Abalone with black backing 1/8" x 5 1/2" x 9 1/2" per piece (NEW!)
You can get 4-5 sets of scales from a sheet making a great razor cost about $10.
Great looking razor. Thanks for the step by step posting and the link to the scale material.
