Gorgeous as usual, Bill.
And the razor is pretty nice, too ;)
Bill, the first picture looks great from here. The wood looks fantastic and your work is always a cut above.
Glen
Please excuse me while I go get a tissue to wipe the drool dripping off my chin...
Also I reading a post the other day talking about grinds. Is this what you would call a wedge?
Yes that is a wedge. Instead of the blade going from very thin and then up to an upward arch to the spine, the wedge is more like a triangle I guess you could say.
There is a slight hollow on that blade -- you can see it on the end shots, and can see it indirectly because of the distinctly polished bevel and spine -- the hone didn't touch the middle of the blade.
I'd still call it a wedge, though.
These are beautiful scales Bill. I have a set of your desert ironwood scales and can vouch for the fact that the wood is stunning. You don't see the gold veins in the photos but can't miss them when holding it in your hands.
I can just imagine what the scales look like when the gold streaks are enhanced by the CA finish.
oh hell Im in vegas...and what happens in vegas stays in vegas...what does ***not cheap*** mean......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the devil made me do it...that will be my defense.....she still doesnt know how to shoot a gun so I may be ok.....heeeelllp....Bill is evil lol :D  (mixed emotions)
And to think there are more 7/8 wedges somewhere in Bill's workshop... Don't fight it.. Just give in to the temptation :D
OH, JL doesn't want it, eh?! Awesome! I'll take it. You did just pass it over didn't you, JL? Anybody who doesn't instantly post "Great, thanks. It's mine" isn't serious about shaving with a super hefty blade that has scales no picture could ever do justice. Do the pics do justice to these ironwood scales?
http://straightrazorpalace.com/image...size/IMG_b.jpg
Well you can't really see in the pic but, no they don't.
So just let me know how much is too much for little JL and I'll justify your beautiful hard work, Bill. And Bill really does beautiful work too. Isn't this a beautiful wedge?
http://straightrazorpalace.com/image...giveaway_1.jpg
Yes it is! So what do I need with another William Ellis masterpiece? NOTHING! But I shure will take it.
And thanks for passing this by JL. It'll look GREAT beside my other two. ;)
X
anyone else touches it and I'll hunt you down and it just gets worse from there lol :D
I guess I'll just have to say I lost more money in vegas than I really did....my birthday is coming up in a month or so anyway...
so fine ITS MINE....and I may be devorced but I'll be clean shaven....
I bet my razors can still 'take' your razors. :D
X
Looks like we have a bit of a battle brewing.. Just don't use razors to kill each other, it's bad for the blades. Use knives instead :D

ps. if i convert the 50$ into beaver bucks will you take it then? that buys ya a couple dances at the hustler club in NYC or there's the local chinese parlour where for 50$ you leave ---> :D .
Yes it is a sign! Thou shalt acquire the wedge and permit it to fulfill its divine purpose!

At least dodging her jealousy will make your life more interesting. I hate dealing with docile women. In any case she is a looker, so you might as well avoid side action thus increasing the chances of keeping her.
ya I wouldnt cheat...other women tempt me no doubt....but I would just feel to horrible about it....dont think I could look her in her face ever again if I did...the thought makes my stomach turn...Quote:

I can't help you with that one. My razor addiction is preventing me from checking out new talent!
Is it just me or is reading this thread like watching an episode of "Seinfeld"?
RT
I dunno. Which episode?
I think he means the one where Kramer does this crazy thing, Jerry has weird issues with the woman he's dating, and George is trapped in some web of lies.Quote:

I guess my point in bringing up "Seinfeld" is that this thread started out about a beautiful razor, and then just kind of dwindled into a thread about...well...nothing. And that to me, is EVERY episode of "Seinfeld"!
No disrespect to Bill's razor. I drool everytime I see it.
So...JL, just buy the damn thing! Please!
