Thread: Exotic Wood Supplier Gilmer Wood Co. Portland, OR

On the way back from downtown Portland, I stopped by an exotic wood store that was in a heavy industry section of town. Gilmer Wood Company. (Gilmer Wood Company) Signs direct people to enter through the warehouse door. Its a normal warehouse w/ endless rows of racks and shelves full of really gorgeous woods. All the usual suspects were available. What caught my eye were the bargain bins, which have pieces with defects or odd sizes and shapes. I picked up a nice pc of ebony and two pcs of African Blackwood. Between the 3 pcs, there's enough for 4-5 razors for the princely sum of $3.

To order, there is a $100 minimum but for will calls (walk in), that min. is waived. If you do alot of scales, I've no doubt the min. won't be a problem. If you're dying for something special for a single razor - PM me. I can let you know when I'll be going into town (28 mi. each way) and can look for something specific and send for actual mail costs.
