Hi all,

Despite not thinking I would ever do a proper peen on a restore, I have finally done a complete peen on a pivot pin, and actually did it right.

The blade is good and tight. It centers perfect and the peen job doesn't look to shabby. It's not as perfect as the peens from the factory, but I don't know how they were done. I took a silver tac that came with the scales, 2 stainless washers for bearings, and some brass on the outside. Only one side needed the washer as the head on the tac looks like it has a washer already.

I must have hit that thing 600 times or more. My wife came into the shop and asked me to please stop that tapping. It was making her crazy. 5 minutes later, and I was done anyway.

So, for those of you who don't think you can peen, it's a lot easier to do properly that I previously had thought. Again, it's not perfect, but it is to me, knowing it was my first success.

Thanks gents!!! Happy shaving..

Mike
