Thanked: 62Stale smoke smell
I have a couple of razors from EBay that have a very strong stale smoke smell. They are in great shape other than that horrible odor. I have cleaned, soaked, and cleaned some more but I can't seem to get rid of that infernal smell. Anybody have and tips?

Sugar soap is good for removing nicotine stains, but not sure about the smell.
Alcohol should dissolve the volatiles responsible for the smell, but it also has a detrimental effect on any glue eg at the wedge

You could dry soaking them in water with a little bit of vinegar. I don't think it would affect the plastic at all, but your mileage may vary.
As an alternative, bury them in baking soda for a few days.

Targon toothpaste ought to work pretty good.
