I managed to find the brass 1/16" rods and i found some brass tube with a 1/16" inner.. so i cut the tube and burnt my fingers in the process lol brass gets hot quickly when cutting it! hammered it flat and made some washers for the outside!
For the inside bushings i found brass washer that worked, i hammered them flat and they seem to be just right!
Anyway i managed to put my blade together!
Below is the completed product with the original in the middle to compare

All in all it worked out well, except for the brass burn marks on my index finger lol

Well done, especially on making your own washers. You can also buy them online for a few dollars at Micro Fasteners - Hobbyists Source - Locknuts - Washers - Machine Screws - Fasteners - Rivets - Wood Screws. You want the size #0 & the extra wide brass ones work well as thrust washers. No point in saying much more to inflate Bengall prices:p

When I first dabbled with the idea of getting into wet shaving 15 years ago the antique stores were full of Bengalls for $10 or less. I didn't buy any back then because I assumed that the Bengall was the cheap and nasty razor of days of yore.
Who says ignorance is bliss.

Cookie,
It's always best to start a new thread when you want to ask a question, and not tag it on to the end of another subject, even if it is related. Your Bengal blade looks to be in very good condition and should make into a very good razor. As to its worth - we don't deal in values and prices in this forum. If you found it behind a wall you should be able to get a good return on your investment if you decide to sell it later on.

Thanks for the post Brighty.
I'll be looking to restore a Bengall myself, all this info helps!
