I am working on some custom SRP scales to donate for the monthly drawing. I almost have them finished please let me know what you think. I have the cut out areas reenforced with clear epoxy resin and the wood is black walnut.

Impressive, most impressive.
All I can say is WOW!!!
Wow that is incredible, I have no idea how you would even attempt something like that. I already congratulate whoever wins those!
As always, superb craftsmanship sir!
Yes, very impressive....my thought is how strong are they. Now that you have put so much detail into them.
But yes, I am very impressed with the detail
I normally don't mess with the drawings...may have to reconsider now.
When I first cut them out of the black walnut I had to be kind of careful with them, at least around the letters in the SRP logo, that's when I got the idea to fill in all the open areas with the chrystal clear 2 part epoxy resin. I had used it on "Bubbles" with a little bit of blue tint and it worked great so I thought I would use on these too for strength. Well they are plenty strong now actually a little stronger than celluloid so I'm happy.
P.S. I will post pictures of "Bubbles" tonight, it's a set of scales I did last week that I was just going to clear coat but went with a blue tinted epoxy resin so now they look like stained glass.
That looks excellent. How much time did that cost you?
Total, maybe 8-9 hours.
