Goins Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings ?

Ok Im not sure if this fits in here but...

is this book in the second edition the one to get?

I know the first print of it is a little more $ but was not sure if the second edition has all of the first book as well as updated info or not.

I see a lot of members here reference this book and would like to get it but obviously want the right edition that will suit a razor hound best.

I've got the current edition. No experience with the previous one. It was something like $28.00 from Knife World Publications and AFAIK is still available. Google Knife World to check.

Whether it is 'worth it' depends on how bad you want more info on razor and knife brands, both famous and obscure. I would say it is more knives than razors but there was a lot of crossover with companies making 'cutlery', not just knives or razors.

I think it is a good book for a dedicated razor hound. If a guy is just going to have a few razors to shave with I wouldn't think it would be worth it. Especially when a PM to manah is free and he has more info than the book does.
