Default Anyone ever use baking soda blasting?

just wondering. Iv cleaned some carbs with baking soda at low pressure, and it wont remove metal from alum. and pot metal and brass parts.

only on bike parts. I have used it on carbs and brake boosters and various other parts. Very important to keep the pressure low

There is a difference between "baking soda" and blasting soda. The baking soda will frost a surface if the pressure is high. The blasting soda seems to be less hard. I have used both in a handheld with media in the box on top. Low pressure is a winner either way.
