Thread: First attempt of destroying a razor

I've done a few restores, sanding, polishing, making new scales etc. but this will be my first real attempt at remaking a razor, semi custom so to speak.

I've wanted to try a Kamisori type (note that I say type) but just haven't came around to get me one.
Yesterday I came to think of a blade I've had lying around for a while, my original plan was to make new scales and re-cover the tang in horn, but I figured it would be the perfect blade for this project.

Of course I forgot to take a before picture, but it is a Solingen,(don't remember what brand) full hollow, a tad over 5/8.

I'll try to update with pics though the process.

Here are the first pics, I have so far just grinded the toe into the shape I want, at least almost, I think it might be a little bit pointy, not sure if I'm going to change the or not yet.
