Any way to remove a knot without a drill or a dremel? I can use some ideas.
Just grab it as close to the base as possible with a pair of pliers and twist.
Sharp wood chisels. But without breaking up the glue first with a drill, it is quite tough. Wear work gloves!
I've done it on at least half a dozen vintage brushes. It's worked every time.
There you go, then. The only knot I have removed to date had been glued in with JB Weld. Pliers did nothing. With a vintage, I guess it must be different.
Vulfix does an incredible job with their brushes as the epoxy is as hard as a rock. This is going to take forever.
Lay the handle flat on a piece of wood, and split it lengthwise with a chisel.
