    Default A repair gone wrong...

    Evening Gents,

My first foray into buying a vintage razor off of e-bay, got a pretty nice C. Friedrich Urnwald 5/8" barbers notch, tried to "tap" the pivot pin because the blade was closing way off center, well, I managed to shatter the scales. I guess it's time for the whole nine yards. so to speak! Any recommendations on who to send it to to re-scale?

I don't know who's close by but the postal system makes anyone here close :Member Services - Straight Razor Place Classifieds

Just remember tapping is literally that & is not a solution if scales or tangs are warped but in your defence sometimes the scales are just plain brittle.
