There a few knife making material suppliers, e.g.

www.knifescales.co.uk - Lace Bobbins, Knife Scales, Falconry Hoods, Fishing Flies, Walking Sticks, Art & ACEO
There is a compendium on BritishBlades :

Try this place, it was recommended on The Shaving Room: Exotic Hard Woods | Specialist Timber - Boxmaker's Wood
I'll be ordering some stuff from them soon.

There should be suppliers of industrial plastics in the UK. I bet they have 3mm acrylic in various colors. It's a really common DIY material.
Charles. . . . . Mindful shaving, for a better world.
