Thank you Harry Coover! New life for old ivory
I think I've posted some process descriptions before; here are some new results. Harry Coover was the discoverer of Cyanoacrylates, later developed into superglue, which is incredibly effective at bonding ivory. Here are some examples of razors I've fixed up that might typically be deemed 'beyond repair'. The one on the bottom was shattered at the toe, so I just cut out the bad parts and replaced them with pieces from a busted pair of scales. The top had a large chunk missing that was fitted in, and the middle one had a chunk from the toe gone; I just sanded a new piece to shape and fitted it in without even having to de-pin it. The repairs are very visible, but I kind of like it that way.
