I'm not sure, but IRC someone mentioned in a video at least 20 minutes.
I always load the wheels after use so they are ready next time I'll use them.
Man I'll have a long day grinding away hahahaha
Either my buffer has to much rpm going on or it's way to hot because I would have used all the 80 grit
What rpm does your buffer read and what size wheels are you using?
3500 and 6 inch wheel from harbor freight
Is it variable speed? Your spinning twice as fast as you should.
With a 6" wheel your sfpm is a little high, but you should still be able to load compound.
I use 4" wheels with my buffer at 3500, and I'm pretty sure Glen and most others with fast turning buffers do the same.
