Default Razor Salvation, How did I restore my razor...

First of all, and before I begin, I would like to thank every single person that helped me with their experience and expertise. You guys were a tremendous help and I thank you again.

Secondly, I would like to share the photos before the work.

So today, as expected, I received my order of Autosol and thought of getting down to business. So the first thing I did was cover up the Gold parts with tape. Here's what I got to with a lot of patience, a lot of cutting with scissors and working with small pieces.

After all important parts are covered, I used q-tips to clean and rub all the uncovered surfaces over and over again. After that's done, I cleaned as much as possible before I took the tape off. Now guys, I don't know what other people have as advice to take off what remains of that tape but I found that the tape residue gets off easily if the blade is put under hot water and then cleaned over and over again with tissue.

    Anyway, here's the finished product.

Now, there is still some rust that is not cleaned which is inside the gold wash logo in between the gold which I couldn't take the risk of cleaning, but someone offered me the advice of using nail polish which I might give a try next time I clean this razor.

I hope this post helps someone and thank you again for the help you offered me.
