Nice workmanship. Are Jernbolagets good shavers?

I am happy with this one. I think this blade is a 4/8 or 9/16 and quite stiff, not to hollow.
Allthough I have not been able to get it really sharp yet, (just popping the odd hair), it shaves well.
Honing and stropping. Sometimes I think I got it and then it is obvious I haven't,
but I'm far from giving up.

I just missed a Jernbolaget on ebay. It went for 51 bucks. I had a $50 maximum myself as it was an unknown brand to me, in the search feature your thread was the only one that came up. Do you think they're worth buying?

This is the only Swedish razor I have, but generally they have a good reputation. We are good at steel in Sweden
Dovo still uses Swedish steel.
There where several manufacturers, Heljestrand, Jernbolaget, Erik Anton Berg, Klas Törnblom, J. A. Hellberg are the most common I think. Seems like Heljestrand was the flashiest company, it is the only name I have seen in 7 day sets.
Eskilstuna is the name of a city famous for it's knife and weapon production.
Many of the SR factories where placed there I think.
With my limited experience I'd say if they are in good condition, they are good razors. Then it is a matter of how much you want to spend on them.
