    Default Make it tight again?

Ok so after I polished my razors.. I noticed they became real loose, to the point if I were to hold the razor upside down - the blade will drop out of the scales with out any tension..

Is there a way I can tighten that up again? or am I SOL?

Most of the time they can be fixed.
    No your not SOL.
Many of my vintage scales are loose, but it does not effect the way I hold it for shaving.
There are several members here that can fix the problem.

I hate loose scales. And I'm a complete barbarian. I fix mine by laying the pivot pin on a 5 kilo cast iron doorstop weight thingy, taking a normal hammer and tapping lightly, but many times on the pin. Everytime I do it I think I'm going to split the scales; but I haven't yet. That's just my experience; not a recommendation...

I'm pretty certain that's how you tighten loose pins - although replace hammer with a small ball peen hammer and replace iron doorstop weight thingy with...just about any flat metal thingy

I couldn't find my ball peen hammer the other day when I was peening, and I remember you saying this a few times before, so I took the heaviest metal spoon I had and got to work...a bit slow, but gentle on scales if you miss your mark, and it actually does the job. good advice!
