Meatchopper Experimental Scales
I finally got another restoration complete. :y
This one is an Amboyna Burl with sapwood so the scales are two tone without having the hassle of making composites.
I wanted to try a light wood for a meatchopper with a different brass band for the decoration. I had a feeling it would work for these majestic blades. This particular one is an 8/8 George Wostenholm & Sons, IXL razor. The shape is similar to a W&B 8/8.
The pictures are always a pain. I can't get the color completely right. The color of the burl is more redish than orange in the pictures, but I think the result is recognizable:

I think it cleaned-up nicely.
