This could happen but is not likely, tool blades do a lot more work.

It took an hour and a half, but as far as I can tell, I think I fixed it. Looks ok at 10x. Used light circles on the 1k, seemed to make the best progress doing sets of 10.
But damn I felt like I was chasing it for a while there. Time for a flor de cana.
How wide is it now?
I lost the "+", it is now about 15/16 where the crack was.
I am surprised. I would have guessed closer to 1/8" narrower.
I thought the same, I felt like I was chasing it for a while, but the tape measure doesn't lie.
It is nice when things turn out better than expected. I wish you many great shaves with it now.

Do you know why it cracked in the first place?
I'm still learning but I think the grain lines indicate some buffing, maybe the person I bought it from tourqued it a bit. Or, I may have caused it while setting the bevel, as this was maybe the 20th razor I've honed.
