    Default Washerless pinning questions

I love the clean look of vintage ivory scales with washerless peened pins. A search for washerless peening revealed an interesting post here, by AronX from 2008.
Has anyone any experience with this? Also looked up #6/0 tapered reamer that Aron recommended and,

    1. They do not have much taper and
    2. Prices range from $7.00 to $60. What’s the difference?

I would think more taper would be better.

In a 2011 post Neil Miller here suggest an ivory washerless pin was hammered by a flat or cross pein hammer, not the Ball side, if I read his post correctly. What is or would the benefit if this be?

And… here is a 2011 post by Skipnord of a beautifully re-scaled washerless pinned C.V.Hejestand, just to demonstrate the elegance of washerless pinning and Skipnord’s craftsmanship.

    Stunning.
