Thread: First attempt at a restoration

Here are some pics of my first attempt to clean up and restore a str8.

I forgot to take a before shot but it was in about the same condition as this one.



After some hand sanding, then buffing, using a bit attached to a drill, and then a metal polish this is the result.



Now to start on making a set of scales.
