Default Pinning, a question for fellow Aussies

    Hi all,

Where in Oz do you buy your brass or nickel rods used for pinning and the washers to go with it or if you buy them off the net where do you get it from.

    Cheers in advance,

You can usually find brass rod at hobby stores like HobbyCo, if you dont have one near you they should ship.
But if you PM me your adress I can send you enough stuff for a couple of razors. (No charge of course)

You seem to be about 3 hours from any major city. Canberra and Sydney would probably be the closest. Email or phone the store first. They might be a cheap mailing to you.

Do a Google for Hobby shop, Australia NSW. There are many.
They may carry Albion Metals or Precision Metals. 1.5mm or 1/16th" brass or nickle silver. They would also have some small washers which could be of value.

An alternative wold be to check a local welding shop for Brazing rod and stainless steel wire.
    Enjoy!

You gotta get him on the ground first, and try arm bar, or headlock.... Wrong pinning? My bad... Good luck woth the pinning my friend, i have yet to do a set that i would call good.. I lack the technique.. Do it on practice scales first.

    Thanks Grant,

The rods and washer, arrived today.

I read somewhere about "putting washers on the inside", excuse my ignorance but does this mean that you put a washer on the inside of the scale, between the tang and the scale. If so which size washer do you use.

    Cheers,
