C-MON Special resto and backstory

Hey guys I wanted to show my progress on a C-Mon Special that my father gave me. Now normally a father giving a son a razor is a special moment that is cherished forever but not so much this time. My father was a Captain at a state prison for 30 years. Over those years he acquired a box full of confiscated weapons from various prisoners. This razor is one of them! There is another razor as well but it is beyond repair.

The down part is I cannot find my "before" pics. I will keep looking but they may have been deleted by accident. Original status was dingy brown blade with lots of devil's spit on the spine. Also a good sized chip about 1/3rd from the point. Finally the C-MON logo is missing from the scales. I probably could have kept it together but seeing where it came from it was getting the complete "frame-off" resto and each piece is being disinfected.

Question: Does anyone know if the letters can be replaced? If not maybe painted in? Finally if no solution exists maybe just sand down the lettering completely.
