    Default 7 day set dilemma!

So I just got a gift 7 day set a few days ago, all the razors are almost flawless but 1. The one razor that isnt flawless has a 2-3 mm fracture towards the toe. My dilemma is that should I repair it by honing about 1/8 off or by altering the toe (grinding the toe past the crack) or should I just leave this particular razor alone for the sake of keeping it uniform with the other razors and just not shave with it (it's the wednesday razor) the blade itself is beautiful! Any advice would help!

Nice set! Makes one wonder how that happened. Obviously, if you plan on using them all, it will have to be taken out. I would personally breadboard the thing till even and make it shave with it's bretheren. I think Stacy/ Newgates was a retailer? Someone will know.
Your call! Nice pile of ivory, for shure!

It is sad that it has to lose 1/8th of it's width, but I think it is sadder for him to just sit there on the bench, while his team mates get to play.
    I say hone it out.

That set if a very nice gift indeed. If you are comfortable with trying to bring that damaged edge back yourself I would either wait for a couple of our pro's to have a look or contact one of them for their thoughts. That is a serious piece of damage. Personally if the set were my mine I would leave it as is and bring the rest of the set up to speed. Then I would begin the search for a replacement Wednesday and stay with the search until I got results. This assumes you want the set intact.

    And welcome back.

    Default 7 set

I also have that same problem with two of the razors in this set. I intend to hone the chips out and rescale the set because three of the scales are broken. All in good time but I will definitely hone the chips out.
