Thread: Apartment Tools

What do you guys suggest for tools that can be used in an apartment like setting? I am moving to Korea and will be in close quarters unlike my garage with all the room I need (ok mostly all the room I need). I am taking my dremel and my hand tools like coping saw, hand drill, files, etc. I want to be able to make scales, do resto work and whatever else I can get away with.

Is this a permanent move? Let us know!

I’ve never been to Korea as I was playing tag under the water with the Russians back in the 70’s. I know that we have a lot of vets and active service personnel perhaps they will be of some help as to what is available such as:

Wet and Dry Sandpaper/quality?
Products for making scales.
MASS/Mothers etc.
Pinning supplies/1/16” rod, washers etc.

You could probably order on line but shipping would kill you, but if Uncle Sam is paying the freight bill, you could take as much as you need from here when you ship out!

You forgot the 24 inch SIPP Machine drill press w/30 inch table.

Would you not have access to a workshop over there "on base"?
Failing that, do you know if they offer hobbyist's activities like carpentry and
metalworking clubs / facilities ?

Probably. But with budget cuts the way they are I wouldn't count on it. They have closed the library on my current base.
