DMT D6E extra fine
DMT D8EE 3 micron
Swaty or similar
0.5 green chrome oxide
I don't count a DMT D8C since I use it for knives and lapping hones (mostly). I don't count the newspaper either (which is often used).

I'm not qualified to answer this, but that never stopped me before.
In this order:
I'd keep my Norton 4k/8k combination stone. What a workhorse
My Honemaster barber's hone (now that I've got it working for me. heh, only took two years.
I'd get a good 1k waterstone. I'm too lazy to replace my cheap Chinese kitchen hone, mostly because I don't have much cause for it as a razor shaping tool. It's jumpin' on my kitchen knives.
I'd also like to work with a high quality Belgian coticule and a blue to see how they work, but I suspect those are simply replacements for the stones I've got and a matter of personal preference in any case.

1000 grit DMT
Norton 4k/8k
Japanese Natural
That's all you need for most razors IMHO

DMT, D8E, 1200 Continuouse (for establishing bevels)
Belgian Blue,
Belgian Yellow
* Yes, you could throw in all kinds of other stones, but these will work for just about anything.

I'd keep my belgians. They work GREAT and I've never needed anything else.
