Thanked: 116When talking about naturals, do as i've done and throw grit ratings out the window. Some people, 'experts if you will, assign a 'performs like' xx000 grit to their naturals but there is no way of actually calculating or assigning a true grit rating to a natural stone.
Hey did I get that right guys?

Thanked: 3164You have a bit of catching up to do, Desol, my friend, but reading the archived posts on this forum will get you up to speed. I congratulate you on gettin to the gist of the matter on your own, though - well done.
Regards,
Neil

Thanked: 3164You pre-empted me, Brooksie! I thought I had quoted Desol and I knew exactly what you would think when I saw that I had got it wrong, so I added Desols name in an edit - but you beat me to the post. I had a bit of grit in my eye, pardner...
Regards,
Neil

I think a lot of this stuff has to be tried by the individual. Best way to find out how this or that works for you, if you have the tools and the skills. Your face will tell the tale then.
