    Referring back to Robert's 200X photos:
    By one theory the edge dulls in use as the bevel intersection is peened by shafts of hair so that the blade edge at the microscopic level becomes rounded. That doesn't seem to be what's happening in the 200X photos. It looks more like micro-chipping or maybe corrosion effects?
