    Default Pastes and Japanese St8s

I have a JStr8 that is near perfect as far as the edge goes. It just needs one more bump.

I have tried my swaty with no luck.

I have two balsa sticks from Great White from a soap trade. One is 1 mic Diamond and the other is .5 CrO2.

I want to use these to amp up the edge. The question is do I use a strop stroke or a hone stroke?

Pressure is going to be at or near zero.

yup....whether it is a pasted leather bench hone, pasted balsa, pasted hanging strop, or a pasted paddle strop, you use a stropping motion.

only time you every lead with the blade is if you are honing on stones

    good luck
