Thanked: 132Well,
I also got some petrified wood...interesting graining, to see what that looks like and feels like.
Incidentally, i am going to purchase a nice, digital microscope on sunday to see what this stuff looks like up close.
I think im becoming a stone freak or something...Geez!
Thanks y'all,
Mac

Thanked: 271Ha! Great minds think alike. My wife and I have an acquaintance here in Modena who owns a crystal and rock store. Yesterday, I went and ordered a piece of yellow jasper in the shape of a bar about 6 inches by 2 (it is available already cut into bars). I'll post of a picture of it (if he comes through) and even order more if anyone's interested.

Thanked: 202Nice stone. Good luck with it. I just made one hone out of a piece of rock from Cwm Idwall in N. Wales. It was hard work but fun and now I am looking forward to try it on a razor.
