No way is that a TOS.

The way it cleaves and the amalgamated/mixed rather than uniform surface look to it gives it a lot of similarities to one of my X's:

I was told by someone that mine is a slate stone of some form or another. I thought mine was a marble of some kind, but it's much harder than a marble floor tile.

Tam 'O Shanter. A hone quarried in Scotland.

GWH, I don't know what your hone might be either. Hope it works well for you.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The guy who owns the quarry/mine is still alive ... Makar a while back visited him and was going to try and arrange another visit , I was gonna go with him and try n pick up a Balmore blue and the other stone made there , seems only fitting an ayrshire boy like me with ayrshire stones ( i have a TOS ) .. the guys not that far from me I don't think ... I still wanna visit :-) .
    I live in Largs , Ayrshire - 20-28 miles from Ayr :-)

    cheers Garry
