Thanked: 235Thanks for the tip on how to fix this problem. I've come across this a number of times and now I know how to fix it and not have an ugly looking bevel.

Great info, I personally HATE honing into the stabilizer or the feeling on stones when the stabilizer is protruding.
I often get my DMT out and get rid of most of the stabilizer, often times I not only change the angle of the stabilizer near the edge, but also take out most of the upper part of the stabilizer, it's a personal preference thing
