The vendors pics are quite misleading (no intention I'm sure). Where the "tip" of the blade tries to fit in the
scales, there is a quite pronounced deformity where the scales and the wedge are supposed to meet.

The wedge is deformed from years of "forcing" the blade "home" .
Nevertheless, this is a razor I'm happy to work on

    Does that make sense ?
Straightening The Scales Shouldn't Be A Problem.A Little Steam And Some Cold Water Should Work Fine. If You Don'tKnow How To Do It.... Search On Here, There Is A Thread About This.

The pics are bad (I know) but I spent 10 minutes polishing this.

Well its definately a French razor, as the stamp should read, A "St-Jean de lux", a small village close to Spain. The name of the maker is Dufourg, with a long history in that region of France going way back, but unfortunately i didnt find any cutlers with that last name but nevertheless a really good looking razor, Enjoy!
