You cant dodge the bug bites, but theres no excuss for the condition of the blade. What a shame.

That ad doesn't seem too bad - I'd take that razor off him if he gave me $110.

By he looks of this razor that's how I feel first thing in the morning. But we know it can possibly be restored to some aspect of its former glory. Years ago I knew a French woman who had be a resistance fighter during WW II. She survived that , a disfiguring car wreck, plastic surgery, a successful career as a model and, at that time, a Professor of French at a major University. We talked long on life and the skill and art of getting on each day. She had a saying about life. It was, "Every day all you can do is patch, patch, patch." To all you excellent restorers of old blades, I thank you for your patch, patch, patch that gives new life to the elderly of animate and inanimate objects.

I pretty sure that be a whole tons of sharpening.
Cause you can't just simply grind steel away from the cutting edge.
Some amought of steel has to be groundd off the spines evenly to keep the same angle
    to the fine cutting edge.
