For the asking price I would go for a Roll Razor for the same type of shaving experience.

Price is high. I like it because it's something I haven't seen before. I like how it still needs a maual hone plus it can either be "kamisori" type or a safety razor and the blade looks heavy. Just my opinion.

Yea, it is different for sure but do yourself a favour and check out rolls razor - YouTube
. Can't be used in a "kamisori" style but offers a similar conventional shave.

You are welcome. They shave very well and the blade can be honed on your straight razor hones too.

I wonder how easy that would be? In terms of pressure and getting the auto-flip.

I normally do not hone as in the video but take the blade only pop the guard off and hone on my normal Naniwa hones as per a straight. There are a few threads on here about these razors and how to hone them. One thing to watch is that many have broken hones as these are very thin. There are articles on the net on repairing Rolls Razor hones too because of this.

Here you go one of the threads http://straightrazorpalace.com/honin...de-honing.html .

I have a Rolls, was NIB, for 45$ if memory serves me.
Also have a 7 day in a Art Deco case with this a stropping/shaving device.
Lots of neat stuff out there. This onecseems pricey to me.
