Oh yeah, that pitting is very very scary, not just the amount, but the extent and the pattern - it looks like a cell rot, so whoever gets the razor if planning on keeping the scales, better quarantine it for a bit.

I think this is a perfect example of things to keep in a more permanent thread.

+1 to the cell rot. Its obviously been polished to cover up the fact.

Another eBay piece of overpriced junk...the blade is all pitted, and i agree someone tried polishing it to cover up this fact.

Can't say I agree. For $36 you can't complain. I've seen Ducks in worse condition sell for a LOT more in our very own classifieds. On the other hand, if it went for, say, $150 I'd be in complete agreement...

Looks like a pile of work to me.... Hand sand in hopes it's not tooo deep. New scales and transfer. Cha Ching , just spent more than you could get out of it. Not that the risk would be to expensive for me it's just that there are better razors for about the same price. I try to send links of razors like this to people who start a 2/8 duck with corroded brass and 2 crack scales at 49 bucks. What amazes me to this day is how many actually sell. Expensive parts if you ask me :<0) .
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Couldn't we just use a dremel on it and it would fix it right up??
